FAQ

Playing Domino cards with your friends and/or family is a great way to bond!

Card games provide an opportunity for family members and friends to come together, interact, and strengthen their bonds. Playing card games also encourages communication and teamwork. It helps children improve their social skills, such as taking turns, following rules, and practising good sportsmanship. It also has educational benefits - many card games involve strategic thinking, math skills, and memory. Playing these games with family or friends can be a fun way to enhance cognitive abilities and stimulate intellectual development in both children and adults. And let’s not forget, it’s a great way to spend time away from a screen. Card games provide a screen-free alternative to entertainment, which is especially important in a world where technology often dominates our attention. It allows for a break from screens and encourages face-to-face interaction. Lastly, card games are typically accessible to people of all ages and abilities. This inclusivity means that everyone in the family can participate, regardless of their physical fitness or skill level.

How is a game of Domino cards played?

Shuffle the cards and deal out five to each player. Place the remaining cards face-down next to the playing surface as a draw pile. Place the top card from this pile face-up in the middle of the table. The game starts with this card. The youngest player goes first, and then the game moves clockwise. The player whose turn it is may place a matching card at either end of the chain. A card is matching when the photos match up perfectly with each other. You choose which of the 3 sides of the card to use for this. If you are unable to play one of your cards during your turn, you must take a card from the draw pile. If you are able to play this card, then you may go ahead and do so straight away. If not, you must keep this card, and it is the next player’s turn. The player who is the first to play all of his / her cards wins. The game is also over if it is no longer possible to play any cards once all of the cards in the stock pile have been played. In this case, the player with the fewest cards wins.
